How to utilize the Material Calculator
Most of our bulk materials are sold by the cubic yard. To best determine the amount of material needed for your project, we suggest you use this calculator.
- Determine the Length and Width of the area, in feet (ft.), which you plan to cover.
- Determine the depth, in inches (in.), for how thick you want the material to be.
The calculator will then determine the cubic yards needed for your project.
3. Scroll down to place your on-line order.
We will then contact you to finalize the order and schedule the delivery.
Delivery Fees: Delivery Fees are based on delivery location, ranging from $29 to $100 per load (in most cases).
Detailed delivery instructions are necessary and we strongly encourage marking the dump location (tarp, plow stake, bucket, etc.).

How to Use this Calculator
A cubic yard is the volume of material which fits in a space one yard wide by one yard deep by one yard high. Cubic yards are used to measure materials ranging from concrete to mulch for your garden.
- Coverage Area Length – First you need to carefully measure the length of your project's coverage area. The calculator requires this measurement to be taken in Feet (ft). Double check your measurement, then enter that number.
- Coverage Area Width – Next, enter the width of your coverage area into the calculator. Just like the length, this number also needs to be in Feet.
- Coverage Area Depth – The final number the calculator will need, is the depth. However, this number will need to be supplied in Inches (In). Enter this number into the 3rd box and your calculation will then be complete.
